HHM: Ecuador IV

Description
"There is one simple fact that I want others to learn and teach amongst one another. And that is, the Panama Hat did not originate from Panama. Despite the name, it truly originated from Ecuador. Which the world sometimes forgets. Even though Ecuador has proudly carried a long lasting weaving tradition for decades. But that is simply caused by the history of constructing the Panama Canal. Which called for a great demand on toquilla straw hats from Ecuador, in order to protect workers and travelers from the harsh sun. So now, because Ecuatorianos had the will for trading and selling traditional practices, over a hundred of years ago, a blurred image of historical accuracy between Ecuador and Panama sadly exists."
