Description
"My ancestors emigrated to Argentina in the early 1800’s and 1920’s from Germany and France. I reflect just one of many different types of cultures, nationalities and races that emigrated to Argentina, and other South American countries. These immigrants added to the original indigenous culture. Unfortunately, while assimilating, displacing and eradicating many of the original indigenous residents. Thereby creating a unique national culture. My formative years included two childhoods, first in Argentina and later here in the USA. Bicycling, playing and going to school in Argentina. And later on bicycling, playing and going to school in Chicago, Illinois. This defines who I am today and how I view the world. It has taught me to have an open mind. A cosmopolitan world view and to accept cultural and racial differences in others. I have visited Argentina later on in the years, the country of my birth, my parents birth, my grandparents birth and great grandparents birth. And as often as I could, I am still left wishing I could have visited more often. But I am happy of who I am and that is why I embrace my Hispanic culture, heritage and community."
