"As for the history that revolved around the Ecuador flag, the color scheme was proclaimed in 1860, and the coat of arms was later on added in 1900. Yellow symbolizes Ecuador’s land being filled with gold. Blue represents the coast of resources. And red pays tribute to the blood sacrificed for Ecuador. Together, they are shielded by the national bird, the Andean Condor."
